Updating my bank details
If you change your bank or building society, it's important you let us know, otherwise you may not get your pension payments on time.
You must let Railpen know of any changes at least a week before your pension is due to be paid. If you can’t give enough notice, it’s best to keep your old bank account open to avoid any delay in your pension reaching you.
The quickest and easiest way to update your details if you live in the UK is by logging in to your myRPS account. Go to the Payment Details page under My Details and select the 'edit' option next to your current bank details.
If you aren't able to update your bank details online, you can:
When you call or email, please quote your pension reference number. You can find it on any correspondence you have received from Railpen about your pension.
If you live outside the UK and wish to update your bank or building society details, simply download and complete the relevant form for the country you live in. All available forms are listed below in alphabetical order.
Once you have completed the form, you can send it to us via a message in your online account. Log in to your myRPS account and go to the 'Need help?' section on the dashboard - there you can fill in the Contact Us form.
If you would prefer to return the form by post, please check the get in touch page for Railpen’s address.
