My communication preferences
There are different ways to get your pension paperwork, so you can manage your pension in a way that suits you.
If you prefer to get paper copies of your communications, through the post you'll need to tell us.
You can do that by completing the form at the bottom of this page – please make sure you scroll down the form to fill in all the boxes.
You only need to complete this form once. It will apply for all of your periods of membership and any documents that are available as paper copies.
Getting your paperwork by post does not stop you from having an online account (myRPS) and you will still be able to access your documents there, even if you get choose to get copies in the post as well.
If you’re happy to get your documents digitally, and not by post, then you don’t need to tell us. But you will need a myRPS account to access them online.
Please use the links below to log in to your myRPS account or register for one if you haven’t already.
Not all of our pension documents are available online yet, so you may still get some paperwork by post for now. However, we are hoping to move more online in future, and you’ll automatically get those digitally once available too.
With a myRPS account you can view your documents, ask for estimates, use planning tools, check/update your details... and more.
If you don’t register for an online account, and don’t opt into paper, your personal documents will still be sent to you by post automatically.
However, some general items, such as newsletters and Summary Funding Statements (SFS), will only be available on the member website.
If you subsequently register for a myRPS account you will automatically start getting your documents online, unless you then opt in to paper copies too (see details above).
Keep in mind that having a myRPS online account is the easiest way to manage your pension and actively plan for retirement, so you could be missing out by not having one.
You can change your mind about how you want to hear about your pension by contacting us at any time. For example:
